Kingsbridge Heights art programming runs through two venues: the NYPL Van Cortlandt Library's Arline Schwarzman Building and Van Cortlandt Park Alliance. The library accounts for three of the five current listings, with free sessions like Young Builders and Crafty Creators for ages five to twelve, while Coloring Time serves the three-to-five set. Hosted by New York Road Runners. Perfect for both new and experienced runners, this fun three-event series is a great way for kids to stay active, build confidence, and experience the thrill of cross country! Registration is FREE and open to participants ages 2–18 of all abilities.

This event will take place in person at the Van Cortlandt branch. Join us for an in-person, drop-in coloring club. Kids will use an assortment of coloring pages, crayons, and colored pencils to create their own art. Encourgage younger kids to develop their number recognition and older kids to develop their concentration and stamina with color-by-number and mosaic coloring pages! Create beautiful projects you can display at home! Supplies are provided by the library, and inspiration is provided by kids! Children 12 and under are welcome.

This event will take place in person at the Van Cortlandt branch. Crafty Creators is a crafting club intended to engage children ages 5-12 in fun, hands-on creative projects. Experiment with a variety of different crafting materials, make new friends and take home beautiful projects! Whether we're making beaded bracelets, painting a watercolor still-life, or molding our favorite characters out of clay, all crafts will encourage creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Join us in becoming lifelong creators. All materials will be provided.
