Frequently Asked Questions

What is tinyout?

tinyout is a free aggregator of kids' activities, ages 0–18, across Greater NYC. We automatically pull schedules from 2,079 studios, museums, libraries, and venues so you can find what's happening near you without checking dozens of websites.

Is tinyout free to use?

Yes, completely free. No account required to browse events. You can create a free account to save favorite studios and save your searches.

How often is the event data updated?

Our scrapers run daily, pulling fresh schedules from every source we cover. If a studio updates their schedule, it will be reflected in tinyout within 24 hours.

What age range does tinyout cover?

Kids ages 0–18, from babies to teens. Most listings show the age range the organizer states. Programming for the under-fives — classes, drop-in play, story times — is the deepest part of the calendar, and shows, workshops, sports and classes for school-age kids, tweens and teens sit alongside it.

What areas does tinyout cover?

Greater NYC: all five boroughs — Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island — plus Westchester, northern New Jersey, Long Island, Rockland, Putnam and Fairfield County, Connecticut. You can filter by neighborhood or town, or browse the neighborhood pages to find what's near you.

How do I find free kids' events near me?

Use the "Free only" filter on the main feed, or browse your neighborhood page. You can also visit /events/this-weekend and filter by free to see free events happening over the current weekend — the rest of Sunday when read on a Sunday.

How do I save my favorite studios?

Sign in with Google (free), then tap the ★ button on any studio page to save it. Your saved studios are accessible from the "My saved" link in the top navigation.

A studio I love isn't listed. Can you add it?

We're always expanding coverage. Our discovery pipeline regularly finds and adds new studios. If a specific studio is missing, it's likely on our radar — we add new sources regularly.
