New to painting or only tried it in school? This welcoming class is designed especially for young artists who want to explore acrylics for the first time. Our teen-friendly approach takes the pressure off, builds confidence, and makes learning to paint genuinely fun. Acrylic paint is the ideal medium for beginners. It’s vibrant, easy to control, quick to dry, and allows plenty of room to experiment. Throughout the course, students learn the fundamentals of painting, including how to choose a subject, plan out a composition, and work comfortably on canvas. They’ll explore how to create shape, depth, and atmosphere using light and shadow, get familiar with different brushes and painting techniques, and practice mixing their own colors to develop a personal palette and style. Each week includes step-by-step demonstrations and supportive guidance from a professional teaching artist. Because the class is kept small, every student gets individual attention and the space to grow at their own pace. No drawing or painting experience is needed—just curiosity and an open mind. By the end of the course, young artists will feel more confident with acrylics and leave with their own finished paintings. It’s the perfect environment for teens to express themselves, build real skills, and get creatively wild!
