Students will: Spark Portfolio Prep – Fall 2026 Tuesdays | 4:30–6:00 PM 8-Week Portfolio Prep Studio Is your child considering applying to one of New York City's specialized art high schools, such as LaGuardia, Art & Design, or Frank Sinatra School of the Arts ? Is your child already showing interest in Advanced level art concepts ? Then this is the class for artists ages 10+ that are showing promise for the arts and our portfolio candidates. Our Spark Portfolio Prep Studio is designed to help students build the artistic foundation and portfolio pieces needed for a competitive application and artistic development. Led by Mr. Casey Gallagher , Spark's Portfolio Teaching Artist and a graduate of The Cooper Union , students will develop strong observational drawing skills, explore a variety of artistic mediums, and create original artwork that reflects both technical ability and creative voice. Throughout the program, students receive individualized feedback and guidance in a supportive studio environment. This 90-minute weekly studio focuses on the core artistic skills that admissions committees are looking for while helping each student grow in confidence and artistic discipline. Build a strong foundation in observational drawing and design. Develop portfolio-quality artwork across multiple mediums. Receive personalized critiques and artistic direction. Learn composition, value, perspective, color, and technical skills. Create original work that demonstrates creativity, range, and personal voice. Whether your child is just beginning the portfolio process or looking to strengthen their artistic skills, this course provides the structure, mentorship, and expert guidance needed to take the next step toward their artistic goal

Spark's Saturdays are dynamic, expressive, and deeply grounding. Students explore drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media while learning yoga and simple mindfulness tools that support emotional regulation and focus. Our teaching artist Miss Kaya returns week after week, building strong relationships with students and guiding them through thoughtfully planned lessons that balance creativity with calm. With small group sizes, children are seen, supported, and encouraged to grow at their own pace. This program is ideal for kids who thrive with structure, creativity, and a gentle transition from the school day into the evening. Lastly after registration, to help us best support your child, we ask that you kindly fill out our Spark Family Intake Form prior to attending!

Saturdays | 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM Our Saturday class, perfect for children 10+ to learn and focus on their art skills. Build up your talents on foundational level and learn across a variey of mediums. Perfect for families of creative kids ages 10 and up looking for a deeper creative experience. More time allows for larger projects, outdoor exploration, and immersive art making. This Fall, come create with Spark Founder and Teaching Artist Sebastian Alappat on our beautiful six acre property in Kunkletown, PA. Running September through December, Spark PA classes give children the opportunity to slow down, get creative, spend time outdoors, and develop their artistic skills in an environment unlike a traditional classroom. Our property becomes part of the experience. Students have access to both our indoor art studio and outdoor creative spaces. Every week is different. Students will explore drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, collaborative projects, and nature inspired art. Our goal is bigger than simply making great artwork. We want children to build confidence, curiosity, patience, creative problem solving skills, and a deeper relationship with themselves as artists. Less screens. More creating. More connection. All classes are taught by Spark Founder Sebastian Alappat , bringing more than a decade of experience creating meaningful art and enrichment experiences for children. Parent & Child Yoga – Fall 2026 Saturdays | 11:00 AM–12:15 PM Slow down, reconnect, and move together. Our Parent & Child Yoga class is a special opportunity for families to step away from the busyness of the week and spend meaningful time together through movement, mindfulness, and play. Led by Miss Nikita , this 75-minute class invites parents and children to move through a fun, age-appropriate yoga flow designed to build strength, balance, flexibility, and connection. Together, you'll learn simple breathing techniques to calm the body, practice mindfulness through guided meditation, and discover tools that can be used long after class ends. Whether you're brand new to yoga or have practiced before, this welcoming class is designed for all experience levels. Together, families will: Practice a playful, partner-based yoga flow. Improve strength, balance, and flexibility. Learn breathing techniques to regulate emotions and reduce stress. Experience guided mindfulness and meditation.
