From The Beatles to Bach! In Music 1, children will delight in the sound of instruments, and “singing” through musical baby talk. IF YOU NEED SCHOOL PICK UP, PLEASE EMAIL US BEFORE ENROLLING. FunFit Kids is an after-school program designed to keep children active, engaged and having fun in a safe, energetic environment. Our program allows children to explore interests, let out energy, build skills and create new friendships. Each afternoon is structured into three activity periods featuring supervised open gym time along with a variety of rotating options such as crafts, story time, recess games, obstacle courses and more. FunFit also works with partners to offer special enrichment courses during the after school program (that are optional). We offer a variety of classes from Ballet, Tap, Tumbling, Multi-Sport and STEM options. WHAT WE OFFER FunFit Kids After School Club is available Monday-Friday from school dismissal until 5:00 PM. Families can choose to attend 2-5 days. Our coaches pick up kids at school dismissal, bring them to FunFit Kids, provide a snack and then programming begins. If we do not offer pick up at your school, drop off is available with the option to enroll 1-5 days per week. THE PROGRAM Participants follow a set program that is broken down into three periods. Periods include open gym time, crafts, STEM projects, recess games, homework time, etc. Offerings vary each afternoon and kids pick their activities right on the spot. This program includes one snack. ENRICHMENT OPTIONS Enrichment programs are run by specialists and are incorporated into your child’s afternoon. Classes are 45-60 minutes in duration. When class is over, your child will return to the larger group for the remainder of the program. These classes are optional and nominal class fees are in addition to your daily After School Program enrollment fee. Please email us for a list of offerings, or check online. After you enroll, we will share a link to register for these specific programs. If you enroll before emailing us and we cannot accomodate the pick up, we will give you a credit (not a refund).
After School Clubhouse is a warm, nurturing environment with high-quality care, where children from Pre-K to Grade 5 can enjoy creative play, art, a snack, and dedicated time for homework and reading. The Clubhouse is organized into small groups, allowing kids to play and socialize with peers of their own age. Children get to enjoy our beautiful classrooms and even explore our rooftop playground for some physical activity. If your child is also registered for JCC after-school classes, our counselors will escort them to and from their programs around the building.
We currently offer pickup service from the following schools: PS 9, PS 87, PS 199, PS 334, Calhoun School, Manhattan Day School, Parkside School, Success Academy UWS, and The Saul and Carole Zabar Nursery School @ the JC
The program runs from Monday to Thursday, from 2:30 to 5:30 pm, from September to June. Our full-year rate reflects a $200 discount.
