About this event
Aikido is a well-rounded and rigorous non-violent Martial Art training experience that includes warm-up and conditioning exercises, Ukemi practice (the art of falling), wooden weapons practice (Bokken and Jo), open-handed aikido techniques, games, and meditation. Children are encouraged to develop a growth mindset without unnecessary competition. Testing for a new belt level happens 3 times a year. As at any true martial art dojo children can freely attend some or all classes within their schedule.

Brooklyn Builders Studio offers a welcoming space where kids can engage with architecture through sketching, model making, material exploration, and thoughtful design exercises in a screen‑free environment that supports focus, creativity, and confidence. Sessions combine guided instruction with open‑ended making, giving young designers room to experiment while learning real architectural principles. We currently offer pickup from PS 321 Upper School, PS 321 Lower School, PS 32, PS 372, and PS 282.
