About this event

A Free Family Event Celebrating Diversity, Justice, and Community Brooklyn Public Library presents the sixth annual Antiracist Family Day , a free family event on the Brooklyn Children's Museum rooftop. Participants will learn about age-appropriate antiracist practices, including celebrating and affirming different races and identities, discussing justice and injustice, and modeling/providing ways young children can engage in activism. This year's activities include: Musical performance with Musiquita Book giveaways Justice Art Build Freedom to Read activities Storytime with BPL librarians Local Author book signing & activities Library Resources and Giveaways with BPL Librarians. Join us for Storytime in the Park on Wednesdays! We will be singing songs, learning rhymes, and reading books together. This Storytime is for toddlers who are walking. Lapsit Storytime for babies who are not yet walking should attend Storytime in the Park for Babies at 11:15am! *When held Outdoors, this is NOT a ticketed event, but Storytime will be moved indoors if it is raining or above 85°F. If held indoors, tickets are required and will be distributed when we open at 10:00am. Child and Caregiver must be present to receive a ticket*
