Little Explorers is a sensory and art based experience for children to explore their senses, art materials, and the world around them! Activities include but are not limited to exploring with painting, play dough, water play, collage & glue, sorting activities and more. Caretakers will observe and support your child while allowing them to follow their own pace through the experiences set up in class. Children can learn about their senses, practice fine motor skills, explore new art materials, plus have a chance to socialize with peers and exercise language skills. Physical Activity, Outdoor Time, Unstructured Play & Wellness are the prescription to Building Tomorrow's Leaders Today! We take a holistic view in helping your child grow! Physical Activity: organized games and team activities teach kids communication, leadership, and resilience in an organic setting Outdoor Time: humans are grounded in nature. Being outside helps regulate and restore kids' nervous systems, reset circadian rhythms, ward off illness and building immunity no matter the weather Unstructured Play: adult free, peer only play gives kids autonomy, choice, and down time. In a natural environment, kids learn effective communication, conflict resolution, and their like and dislikes. It's also essential for building self-esteem Wellness: global, community, and individual wellness is our focus. Kids have an opportunity to give back to the world, understand their impact, and that humanity extends beyond their own self. We take care of ourselves, our neighborhood, and the planet Our After School provides a pick-up from PS 78, PS 384, Gantry View School, and local school/fun bus stops for kids who attend different schools. The afternoon consists of free play, snack time, and activities. Monday & Fridays we have a survey of sports, Tuesdays & Thursdays are fitness class, focussing on movement skills and Wednesdays are our wellness day. Wellness Day includes food education, philanthropy, collective community, teamwork, and leadership. Parent pick-up is between 5-5:30 PM. Need a little extra time, register for our Walking Bus!
