Democracy is a parenting issue! At this unique storytime, kids will vote for their favorite activities and learn about voting and elections. Parents and caregivers will get a chance to register to vote and receive non-partisan election information. Voting-themed giveaway books will be available for families, while supplies last. This program is made possible due to the generous support of City’s First Reader, an initiative of the New York City Council.

Musical Art Adventure

Singing, dancing, crafting and more! We invite families to join us in this class for our younger adventurers that combines all of our favorite creative mediums - theatre, music, AND art. In this parent/caregiver accompanied class, children will begin the day with engaging warm-up songs to get their bodies, voices and imaginations ready to soar. Then, we will open our magical treasure trunk to reveal themed prop and costume items that spark an exciting adventure, leading us to our art project of the day. Families will row, row, row our boats into the ocean to make an under the sea creation, or head to Old McDonald’s Farm to get artsy with the animals! This class will not only have your little one singing, dancing and exploring with friends to spark their social emotional learning skills, but they will also leave class with a cute art project. Toddler Time at the Trunk - A Pint-Sized Pre-Preschool Experience

Prepare your little one for their next big step into the classroom with Toddler Time at the Trunk - A Pint-Sized Pre-Preschool Experience! This program, led by our experienced and nurturing teaching artists, will begin to gently expose your child to a classroom environment and encourage them to cultivate independent, creative connections with their peers and teachers. Through a lens of the creative and theatrical arts, we will strengthen your little learner’s social-emotional skills and start them on a path of empathetic community-building that is so important in our world today. This class is parent/caregiver attended, and packed with fun and imaginative play! Kiddos will be welcomed into our beautiful space with a morning choice-time where they will explore storybooks, toys, a costume corner, a play-kitchen, and more. Then, we will transition into circle time, accompanied by live music while we sing some of their favorite songs. We’ll discover an art project and book inside our treasure trunk and then head off to create art, eat a snack, and listen to the story of the day. Our day will conclude with a goodbye circle and songs! We hope you will join us for a season of fun, creativity, learning and growing! Ideal for ages 14-28 months.
