Our weekly preschool prep program is a semester-based immersion class open to 2- to 4-year-old children available in French and Spanish. Play-based and communication-based, our program is also inspired by proven, innovative methods, in part Montessori and Reggio Emilia. Each class has a duration of 2.5 hours. Classes are taught by trained early childhood Spanish teachers who will teach basic skills through combined play and structured learning. During the early stages of development, children are able to learn multiple languages at once, acquiring the perfect accent in a foreign language, and a native-like language level. Our expert instructors will hence provide an array of bilingual activities to stimulate learning through exploration, discovery, creation, and play, to prepare your children for New York's top preschools and kindergartens. The curriculum and activities are designed to teach children not only basic language but also motor skills. They also introduce children to routines and schedules, providing a safe place for them to grow and learn, with enough time to play and rest. Classes are conducted in a gradual immersion environment that allows children to comprehend and speak the target language, unlike any other program. Join us and enable your child the most effective, multi-faceted, creative, and fun preschool prep.

The small group pod setting (up to 8 children) allows for personalized attention, giving children the opportunity to bond with our dedicated native Mandarin-speaking teachers. Our goal is to expose children to Mandarin while helping them become familiar with preschool routines, ensuring a gentle and seamless transition when they are ready for the next step in their early education. Learn more about our educational philosophy here . Story of Ya-Ya Mandarin Seeds: It all started in 2008, when two NYC moms began teaching cozy Mandarin music classes for their toddlers and a few friends in a yoga studio. Those first “Mommy & Me” classes were full of music, movement, and joy — and families couldn’t get enough! As their own children grew, so did the program. Mandarin Seeds expanded to include enrichment classes for preschoolers and elementary-aged kids, all built on the same playful, engaging approach that makes language learning fun and meaningful. The result? A trusted, joyful Mandarin experience that has captured the hearts of families across New York City. Today, all Ya Ya Mandarin Seeds classes are still led by the same experienced, caring team — and are now offered at Ya Ya Preschool and select partner locations.
