About this event

Who We Are: Join us for 45 minutes of music and movement! Designed by two NYC moms, our lesson plan facilitates child development in a way that is fun for both children and their caretakers. Each class is led by Broadway-caliber performers, with expertise in a variety of genres and styles. Your child will gain practical physical, emotional, and mental skills through the lens of ballet, musical theatre, modern pop, Motown, and more! We can't wait to sing and dance with you and your family! Location Specific Information: Our class will be held on the 5th floor. Our teachers will need to let you in. If you’re running late or having trouble with the buzzer, please call us so we can assist you. This building has an elevator. Strollers must be left with security. Special Open Gym times will sometimes have extra activities like a no-mess art activity, a story-time or a surprise visit from Gymbo! Benefits: Physical:Allowing children to lead their own play offers time for them to try things repeatedly without worrying about the structure of a class, or trying something again they did in class earlier! Cognitive: Unguided play supports early brain development. Independent play with adult and child. Social: Sharing a space with mixed ages allows for children to learn and practice more sophisticated social skills and learn from their peers. In this class, kids will dive right into creating a short film! Weekend Workshops run for three consecutive Saturdays from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. 1st Saturday: Intro to storytelling, screenwriting and acting games. 2nd Saturday: Production. 3rd Saturday: Intro to editing and post-production. At the end of the session, students will have a collaborative movie to share with friends and family!
