About this event

A 45-minute Mandarin & Music class by our sister program Mandarin Seeds, a well-known children’s Mandarin program in Tribeca for more than a decade since 2008. ​This is a grownup & me class, designed for babies and toddlers from birth up to age 2 to participate together with their grownups in class. The musical curriculum is integrated with original thematic Mandarin songs produced by Mandarin Seeds, covering age-appropriate and fun topics loved by the children. The teacher will sing and teach in Mandarin only, replicating an experience of being in a music class in a Mandarin-speaking country. Sing and learn together with your child! When the grownup shows enthusiasm in participation, it will deepen the bonding between the grownup and the child and inspire the child that active participation in class is a joy! Families will receive a digital link to all the songs taught in the semester. All our teachers are native Mandarin speakers who have completed the intensive training and certification program by Mandarin Seeds.​ *Families of ALL language and cultural backgrounds are welcome!

Welcome to the Early Preschool Prep – Monday Schedule Registration! This class is available Monday and Wednesday , and families can choose the number of days that work best for them—up to four days per week. While any participation is beneficial, toddlers tend to thrive with consistency and routine; therefore, enrolling in multiple days will provide the most impactful and enriching experience. A multi-day discount will be automatically applied at checkout to support families choosing a fuller weekly schedule. (2-day: 5%) The Early Preschool Prep Program is specifically designed for toddlers (15m-24m) who are ready to transition into preschool. This program meets twice a week for 90-minutes per session. Children will be immersed in Mandarin through an engaging curriculum centered around music, science and art. The small group pod setting (up to 8 children) allows for personalized attention, giving children the opportunity to bond with our dedicated native Mandarin-speaking teachers. Our goal is to expose children to Mandarin while helping them become familiar with preschool routines, ensuring a gentle and seamless transition when they are ready for the next step in their early education. Story of Ya-Ya Mandarin Seeds: It all started in 2008, when two NYC moms began teaching cozy Mandarin music classes for their toddlers and a few friends in a yoga studio. Those first “Mommy & Me” classes were full of music, movement, and joy — and families couldn’t get enough! As their own children grew, so did the program. Mandarin Seeds expanded to include enrichment classes for preschoolers and elementary-aged kids, all built on the same playful, engaging approach that makes language learning fun and meaningful. The result? A trusted, joyful Mandarin experience that has captured the hearts of families across New York City. Today, all Ya Ya Mandarin Seeds classes are still led by the same experienced, caring team — and are now offered at Ya Ya Preschool and select partner locations.

Program Snapshot Little Kids Club is a joyful Mandarin language enrichment class designed especially for two-year-olds and young threes. In this gentle drop-off setting, children explore, create, and play while naturally hearing and using Mandarin. Through songs, stories, hands-on projects, and open-ended discovery, Mandarin becomes part of a fun and meaningful experience. This is a wonderful complement to a child’s existing routine. Whether you’re looking for a gentle, part-time start for your little one, or your child is already enrolled in an English preschool and you’d like to add Mandarin enrichment to their routine, this program can be a lovely addition to your child’s week. Age Range: Born between January 15, 2023 – September 15, 2024 Schedule: 2-hour drop-off · Twice per week Focus: Mandarin language enrichment Curriculum: Hands-on art, science exploration, music, and stories Approach: Play-based with gentle structure Open To: All language backgrounds welcome Semester-Based Enrollment: Fall - September 2026 to February 2027; Spring - February 2027 to June 2027 Little Kids Club is all about Mandarin exposure and joyful language learning! Think of it as a Mandarin class in a preschool setting — hands-on, playful, and fully taught in Mandarin. The focus of this program is language exposure and therefore this program does not include formal developmental reports aligned with early childhood benchmarks. Evaluation: A one hour one on one session beginning with a dynamic warmup, followed by a series of tests of your child's athletic skills. Th is evaluation helps us learn which specific areas your child needs to work on to take their athletic performance to the next level, as well as provide a baseline to look back at as they improve. Some examples of exercises we will test are Vertical Jump, Broad Jump, 10yd sprint time, 20yd shuttle, max pull-ups.
