About this event
Let's bounce and wiggle during this storytime with songs, rhymes and books for children 18 months up to 35 months old with their caregiver. Registration is required and is separate for each class each week. Please register each child individually. Space is limited. Registration opens at 8:00 pm on Thursday the week prior. Please only attend ONE class of each type each week since they are the same class offered multiple times. In order to provide the best learning environment for all participants, we are unable to allow access, regardless of registration, if you arrive 10 minutes after the program starts.

Build a Domino Run!

Come put your building skills to the test as we construct and race our domino runs! Work alone or in teams to see who can set up and topple the most unique creation! For children in grades K-5. Registration is required. Children attend independently. Parent or caregiver must remain in the Library during the event. Space is limited. Registration opens on Tuesday, September 22. Please note that failure to cancel at least 24 hours before the event or not attending the event at all will result in a limited ability to register for future events.

Looking for something fun to do? Let's make pin-back buttons! From 4:00 to 4:45 pm, stop by the Children’s Room at the Main Library to use your creativity and make a button with us! Tiny Hands will encourage your child to learn new ways to create while developig a range of new skills. Tiny Hands students will learn many techniques while working with clay. They will have the opportunity to learn how to draw and paint at the easel. Many of the projects in the Tiny Hands curriculum focus on building dexterity and control, such as building a paper sculpture, which will teach students how to tear and cut. Your child will grow as an artist through a carefully guided program that is age-appropriate.

Saturday Storytime on the Lawn

An interactive class for children 0-5 years old and their caregivers! Join us to read, sing, rhyme, dance, and play together on the front lawn! Registration is not required. It is recommended you bring a blanket to sit on. *PLEASE NOTE for outside classes at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library: Due to rain or other weather-related issues, the classes may instead be held inside at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library with limited seating. Tickets will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited.
