At Gerritsen Beach Library, families enjoy stories and activities designed to encourage brain development and early learning practices. Each week we will read books, sing songs, and do fun activities that promote language development, social-emotional skills, and more. Parents and caregivers will have the opportunity to learn about community resources and connect with peer support networks. Each week, we explore a different theme: READING, TALKING, SINGING, PLAYING, MOVEMENT, and EMOTIONS. Families will also receive FREE materials to continue the learning and fun at home.

Enjoy a special storytime designed for bonding with your baby while connecting with other caregivers in the community. Together we’ll explore books, songs, rhymes, and movement while helping little ones build early learning and language skills. For babies ages 0–18 months and their caregivers. If your child is older than 18 months, we invite you to join us for Storytime on Wednesday mornings.

This Banned Book Week, join us for a special Freedom to Read Storytime! We will celebrate every child’s freedom to read by sharing picture books that have been banned or challenged across the country, as well as sharing songs, rhymes, movement activities. Celebrate intellectual freedom while getting an opportunity to meet new friends and connect with other parents and/or caregivers! For children ages 3-8 and their parents and/or caregivers.
