About this event

Discover the world of kings, queens, and knights with our Children’s Chess Program at the library, where young minds can learn the art of strategy. Chess isn’t just a game; it’s a journey of intellect and fun. Our Children’s Chess Program will help your children develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills while making new friends. They’ll learn the timeless game of chess in a welcoming and engaging environment. As part of a new pilot program, your registration reserves a parking space for you until the program begins. Late arrivals will forfeit their parking reservation. Parking permits expire 2 hours from the program start time. By registering, you agree to these terms. Failure to comply may result in loss of eligibility to register for future music programs.

Pick up a copy of Biscuit Goes to School by Alyssa Satin Capucilli from the library, read it at home, then come hang out with friends to talk about it—while eating pizza!. Books are better with buddies and snacks! Additionally, we will do a fun craft related to the book! Book group to be moderated by the Children's Librarian. Registration is required. If you do not wish for your child to be served pizza at the book group, please send an email to aramsay@poundridgelibrary.org. We look forward to a wonderful time! Woof!!
