About this event
Community Farm Work Day: Garlic Planting Join us for a Community Farm Work Day to get next year’s garlic in the ground! This hands-on morning welcomes neighbors of all ages and comfort levels to come together, get outside, and help plant one of our favorite crops before winter sets in. What you’ll do: Volunteers will help get the garlic in the ground. Tasks vary in physical demand, so there’s a comfortable way for everyone to pitch in, whether you’re up for active fieldwork or prefer lighter tasks. Why it matters: Garlic goes in the ground in the fall and spends the winter quietly taking root before we harvest it next summer. Planting takes time and many hands, and the cloves you plant this November become the garlic we harvest and share with our community next season. Dress warmly in layers, come as you are, work at your own pace, and be part of the Hilltop Hanover Farm community for the day.
The Westchester Children’s Museum brings its programming and impact to the River North Communities of Westchester, reaching the towns and districts in the Northernmost part of the County along the Hudson River region. The Westchester Children’s Museum is committed to making its programming—including STEM and STEAM activities—available to all children in Westchester County.

The Old Time Music Jam is a monthly gathering of local, acoustic musicians who play traditional Appalachian fiddle music. Come to play or just to listen and enjoy the community music can create! Musicians of all levels are welcome.
Little ones, ages 3-6, will explore the whimsy of the world around them through combining storytelling with hands-on activities on the farm straight from the tale! Registration for this class is required online where you can pay what you want!
