About this event
This program is for River Vale residents in Grades 3 - 5 . Registration required. Registration for non-residents will open on September 22 at 1pm. Registration is required. Have you ever wanted to star in your own fantasy adventure? Well now you can with one of the most popular games on the planet, Dungeons and Dragons! If you have fun, consider coming back next month to go on our next DnD Adventure together! We will be meeting the last available Tuesday of every month. SEATING IS LIMITED!!! Things you need to know before playing: 1. There are many ways to play this game, that's what makes it fun! We will be going by Miss Rebecca's DM (Dungeon Master) rules for this game. If you have any questions or concerns though, please reach out! 2. You don't need to bring a thing! The library will have pre-made character sheets, dice, and mini figures for you to play with. If you do have dice or a notebook to take notes, you are welcome to bring it! 3. Want to make your own D&D character? create a free account on D&D beyond and get started! For the sake of fairness, Miss Rebecca will look over your character before the game starts to make sure everything is ok. Any questions, reach out!

Children will experience how Tracey creates a dragon for her famous series and participate in a Q&A session. She will also sign one Dragon Masters book per child - feel free to bring a copy from home! Books will be available for sale at the event through Bronx River Books. Registration is online only and begins Sunday, August 23 at 8am. Registration is required. Each child must be registered separately. Registrations will not be accepted via email.

Rock Write Record is BMF's band program for students ages 9–17 who are ready to move beyond the basics and experience what it's like to be part of a real band. Students collaborate with bandmates to learn cover songs, write original music, develop their performance skills, and experience the excitement of creating music together. Led by an experienced Brooklyn Music Factory teacher, each rehearsal focuses on songwriting, arranging, musicianship, and playing as an ensemble. Students strengthen their creativity, musical fluency, and confidence while developing the communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills that make great bands successful. Bands are thoughtfully formed based on each student's age, instrument, and skill level , creating a supportive environment where every musician is challenged, contributes to the group, and grows alongside peers at a similar stage in their musical journey. Throughout the year, bands perform on the BMF stage, giving students the opportunity to share both original songs and cover songs with family, friends, and the BMF community. As students grow, they're encouraged to take greater ownership of the creative process, helping shape their band's unique sound while building skills that last a lifetime.
