2026 marks the 100th birthday of jazz legends Miles Davis (5/26) and John Coltrane (9/23). Join Englewood native Muneer Nasser and his quartet on for a special tribute celebrating their groundbreaking music and enduring influence. With live performances from the trio and insights into their remarkable lives, Muneer—son of the late acclaimed jazz bassist Jamil Nasser, as well as a musician, author, and historian—brings a personal and deeply informed perspective on two of jazz’s most iconic figures. Muneer Nasser on trumpet, Lewis Porter on piano, Jordan Carr on drums, Knox Barber on bass. This concert will be held on the library's front plaza. You need to bring your own chair and/or blanket. In case of rain, the concert will be held indoor on the library's main floor. This concert is sponsored by The Friends of the Englewood Library.
