This intermediate level class is ideal for students who have taken at least 2-3 years of modern or contemporary classes. Students will continue to build strength and control, refining their release, groundedness, suspension, improvisation, movement qualities, and spatial awareness. Students will learn how to use technical skills and apply them to stylized movement. Note: This class will culminate in an open class during Family Observation Week, there is no formal performance. They'll start by designing obstacle courses (obbys) and picking up the basics of Lua, the coding language behind Roblox. They’ll add features like checkpoints, tools, and interactive elements to make their games more dynamic. Along the way, kids develop skills in 3D design, game logic, and debugging—all while working in an environment they already love. By the end of the course, they’ll have several playable Roblox games that they designed!
