Come dance in the stacks at our Library Rave. DJ ~ Dancing ~ Photo Booth ~ Crafts ~ Refreshments What exactly is a rave? Raves combine music appreciation, self-expression, and community connection through the shared experience of dancing together in a public space. As we approach the highly anticipated transformation of our building, we invite patrons to give the library a joyful sendoff by dancing through the stacks at our Library Rave. Advanced registration encouraged. (Note that there is no alcohol, smoking, or vaping permitted on library property. Instead, librarians will be serving literary-themed mocktails and other goodies.) Family-friendly Hour: 6pm – 7pm: Our dance party starts with kid-friendly music, glow sticks, bubbles, scrawl on the walls, photo booth and more. Grown-up Glow-up: 7pm – 9pm: The vibe transforms from library hush to lively club at our after-hours dance party with energetic music, disco lights, glow zone, photo booth, retro lounge, and more.
