About this event
This beginner lyrical dance class is a combination of ballet, jazz and modern dance movements. Young dancers will be taught basic ballet fundamentals, further practice proper posture, explore musicality, develop coordination, and learn movements portraying the emotion and story of songs seen and heard in modern and popular culture.

Young dancers will explore movement, music, and creativity through imaginative games, obstacle courses, rhythm activities, and introductory dance exercises. Students will develop coordination, balance, musicality, listening skills, and confidence while being introduced to basic tap technique and rhythm patterns. This nurturing class encourages self-expression and a love of movement while building the foundation for future dance training. Notes: Please have your dancer come prepared with ballet shoes, tap shoes, and the appropriate dance attire. Please also have your dancer bring a water bottle .

Evaluation: A one hour one on one session beginning with a dynamic warmup, followed by a series of tests of your child's athletic skills. Th is evaluation helps us learn which specific areas your child needs to work on to take their athletic performance to the next level, as well as provide a baseline to look back at as they improve. Some examples of exercises we will test are Vertical Jump, Broad Jump, 10yd sprint time, 20yd shuttle, max pull-ups.
