About this event

In this special session, kids will learn about ofrendas, which are altars to loved ones that families create during Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrations. We'll talk about Día de los Muertos, the significance of the traditions surrounding the holiday, and the history of the festivities. Finally, we will make our own beautiful marigolds (which usually adorn ofrendas) out of tissue paper. Open to kids in grades 3-5. Drop in! This program is made possible by the generosity of the Friends of the Livingston Library.
