14 Mondays (Except Sept 14, Sept 21, Dec 21, Dec 28) This hands-on, process-based Upper West Side art class allows children to explore and experiment, with an emphasis on open-ended creations and sensory exploration. A variety of materials and media, such as paint, clay, pastels, and loose parts, will be provided to inspire children's imagination, promote creative thinking, and build self-confidence. Material exploration is the focus, and we clean up the mess! This class follows the JCC?s Reggio Emilia and child-centered approach to early childhood education and programs, and emphasizes process over product.
