About this event

This class introduces your child to the joy of music making through singing, percussion instruments, and creative movement. Your child will learn the fundamentals of music through group piano instruction, improv, dancing, and storytelling.

This class introduces your child to note reading and playing of the recorder and piano. Basic musical concepts and theory are taught through songs, musical games and improvisation with other classmates. This program is designed as a foundation to enrich and complement the future study of an individual instrument, and culminates with a class concert performance for family and friends! Music Makers is led by Colleen Itzen. If this is your first registration with us for the year, there will be an additional registration fee of $40/50(family) charged following your registration.

Students will strengthen their ballet technique while learning the art of performance. Barre work is introduced, and combinations continue to increase in difficulty. Students will begin to develop the skill of retaining more complex movement sequences. Emphasis is on the enjoyment of dance within the respect and discipline of classical ballet training. Required Supplies: Students must wear their class gear at all times. Girls should wear a royal blue leotard, pink or skin toned footed ballet tights, and pink or skin toned ballet slippers (canvas or leather). Boys should wear black tights and white t-shirt with black ballet slippers (canvas or leather). Children who are gender expansive may wear whichever suits them. Note- tights and shoes must match (i.e. pink shoes/pink tights or skin tone shoes/skin tone tights). Students will take on more demanding steps and complex sequences of movement in pursuit of technical skill, articulation, musicality, and expression. Students will be evaluated for pre-pointe and pointe work. Required Supplies: Students must wear their class gear at all times. KIN THINK is a developmentally grounded cognitive enrichment class that strengthens early language, mathematical intuition, and reasoning skills through playful, hands-on discovery. We emphasize whole-word literacy (focusing on real words in context rather than phonics drills) and build a rich quantitative sense—letting children internalize what “three,” “five,” or “many” feel like before introducing symbols. Through carefully crafted puzzles, block-building structures, interlocking materials, and pattern work, children stretch their critical thinking and spatial reasoning. Our knowledge modules rotate through high-impact domains—2D & 3D shapes, textures & materials, animal classifications, and simple( physical science concepts—to expand vocabulary and conceptual frameworks.
