Rock Write Record is BMF's band program for students ages 9–17 who are ready to move beyond the basics and experience what it's like to be part of a real band. Students collaborate with bandmates to learn cover songs, write original music, develop their performance skills, and experience the excitement of creating music together. Led by an experienced Brooklyn Music Factory teacher, each rehearsal focuses on songwriting, arranging, musicianship, and playing as an ensemble. Students strengthen their creativity, musical fluency, and confidence while developing the communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills that make great bands successful. Bands are thoughtfully formed based on each student's age, instrument, and skill level , creating a supportive environment where every musician is challenged, contributes to the group, and grows alongside peers at a similar stage in their musical journey. Throughout the year, bands perform on the BMF stage, giving students the opportunity to share both original songs and cover songs with family, friends, and the BMF community.
