About this event

Grades 6, 7, & 8 Registration for each monthly session is required Project Thrive is a collaborative initiative of the Livingston Public Library, the Livingston Township Health Department through the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign, and the West Essex YMCA, designed to support the growth, well-being, and overall success of middle school students. Over the course of nine months, September through May, participants will engage in creative activities, community projects, leadership opportunities, and wellness experiences that help to foster confidence, resilience, and healthy relationships. Participants meet monthly at the library for lofi lab, a low pressure, fun space to meet, create, and enjoy snacks. Each month will have themed goals and activities for kids to focus on. The December meeting will focus on a community service project TBA. There will also be meetings at the West Essex Y, with details to follow. Those who have attended a minimum of 6 of the 9 meetings will be recognized for their accomplishments at the Livingston Town Council meeting in June. Our October theme is 'Thrive Through Creativity' and participants will have their choice of puzzle stations, watercolor painting, and logic games. Popcorn will be served! The library's remaining meeting schedule is: Oct 7th, 2026 - Thrive Through Creativity Nov 10th, 2026 - Thrive Through Gratitude Dec 1st, 2026 - Thrive Through Connection Jan 5th, 2027 - Thrive Through New Beginnings Feb 2nd, 2027 - Thrive Through Mindfulness March 2nd, 2027 - Thrive Through Skills April 6th, 2027 - Thrive Through Innovation May 4th, 2027 - Thrive Through Leadership This program is made possible through partnership with Livingston Township, the West Essex Y, and the Friends of the Livingston Library.
