Puppetsburg rocks interactive, culturally relevant puppet shows for 4mos-4yrs. Our shows are 45 minutes long and feature a different story each week that involves different activities to go with our unique show each time: dancing, instruments, dress-up "photo-ops," one on one time with our handmade puppets, bubble time, and more! You’ll love our celebrity puppets like Greta Thunberg, Frida Kahlo, and Bob Dylan, and our shows ranging from “The Beyonce Show!” to “The Mermaid/ Water Conservation Show!” to “The Tale of the Lost Bunny” Check our stories @puppetsburg to see which show is playing this week! Fall Havurah: Experiential Jewish Learning Through Cooking + Tikkun Olam (Kindergarten -Grade 2 and Grades 3-5)

In Person. Join us for this enriching program where cooking, culture, and compassionate action come together to celebrate Jewish heritage and community! This session of Havurah at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan intertwines the joy of cooking traditional Jewish foods with meaningful community service. Our theme focuses on how food can be a bridge to cultural understanding and social responsibility. Children will explore Jewish culture through interactive cooking sessions, learning about, preparing, and tasting a variety of traditional Jewish dishes from around the world. As they hone their culinary skills, they will also engage in storytelling, discussing the significance of each dish within Jewish celebrations and heritage. Throughout this process, the children will collaboratively author a cookbook filled with their favorite recipes and personal anecdotes, which they will share with family and friends. In alignment with the value of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world, the cooking experience will culminate in a community service project. Guided by instructors, the children will select a social cause that resonates with them, whether it be food insecurity, environmental sustainability, or supporting local families in need. They will also work together to organize a potluck event, inviting family, friends, and community members to contribute dishes, share stories, and connect over food.
