Join us for stories, songs and rhymes for the littlest library visitors! This program is for babies up to 12 months old and their caregivers. No registration is required.

This is an off-site program hosted at Sac's Place, 35-11 35th Avenue, Queens, NY 11106. The First Amendment protects our right to assemble. The Listening Tour asks what happens when we do. Queens Memory is hosting a Queens World Table Lab™ to create space not only to speak, but, just as importantly, to listen. A Queens World Table Lab™ is a signature Queens World format that is part conversation, part creative experiment, and part community gathering. Around each table, attendees meet Table Catalysts™, including artists, community organizers, thought leaders, and others who help spark discussion. Together, we'll explore questions of hope and resilience, imagine what public art could look like if money were no object, consider how stories and memories can endure for generations, and reflect on what we want future generations to know about who we were and what mattered to us. Kickoff to Kindergarten is a fun, free program for children ages 3-4 and their caregivers. The program enables children to develop their early literacy skills and begin a lifelong love of reading! Parents and caregivers are guided to become confident in their ability to support their child’s development following a curriculum aligned with the Science of Reading. Classes, which meet once a week (8 sessions in all), will focus on learning about dialogic reading techniques that can be used when sharing books with little ones. We’ll also have fun with a storytime that includes tips for promoting literacy at home, and so much more! If you have any questions, or would like to register for this program, please email K2K@queenslibrary.org!
