Young nature lovers will learn how to spot and identify local birds, observe their behaviors, and explore the habitats that support our feathered neighbors. Kids can also join in on birding bingo, turning the walk into a fun challenge as they search for different birds along the way. Whether your child is an experienced birdwatcher or just beginning to notice the birds around them, this engaging outdoor experience is a great opportunity to build curiosity about nature and connect with the wildlife right here in our neighborhood.

Join the educators for a fun filled program about owls. Learn about what type of owls live here and their fascinating adaptations. Then dissect an owl pellet and guess what it ate! Weather-permitting, we will take a short hike around the Nature Center trail in search of owl habitats and other fall wonders.
All ages of park visitors. We suggest adult caregivers assist children under age 6 (or who need assistance) with the pellet dissection.
