About this event

***Back by popular demand!*** Get creative this fall at our Scarecrow Decorating Contest, the highlight of the Livingston Public Library's Fall Fest on Saturday, October 10th. Families and groups are invited to design and decorate their very own scarecrow - funny, spooky, or totally unique. All entries will be displayed at the library during the Fall Fest for the community to enjoy, and visitors will vote for their favorites. Winners will be announced on Monday, October 26th. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just want to have some fall fun, this is your chance to show off your autumn spirit! Scarecrow decorating kits may be picked up at the Reference desk starting Friday, September 25th at 10am. You may add any embellishments of your choice. Kits are limited in supply; please register for a kit starting Monday, September 21st at 10am. Please only register for a kit if you will be able to bring it in for the competition. You will need an adult Livingston Library card to register. Scarecrows may be of any size. Decorated scarecrows will need to be brought in on Wednesday, October 7th or Thursday, October 8th to be eligible for the competition. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Livingston Public Library.
