Prepare for Science Bee success with Science Bee 2! Tailored for 4th and 5th graders, this class offers advanced preparation for the Science Bee competition. Students will delve into more complex scientific topics, practice with challenging questions, and develop key problem-solving skills.Students must attend a try-out, where they will answer questions to assess their readiness for the Science Bee. This assessment helps determine if they’re ready to explore further and potentially participate in the National Science Bee qualifiers. Key activities and learning outcomes in the Science Bee program: Hands-On Experiments : Participate in exciting experiments that illustrate fundamental scientific principles. Exploration of Scientific Concepts : Learn about a variety of scientific topics through practical and engaging activities. Group Projects : Collaborate with peers on group projects that encourage teamwork and enhance communication skills. Curiosity and Critical Thinking : Develop critical thinking skills as they question, hypothesize, and test their ideas. Preparation for Competitions : Gain valuable experience and confidence that will help in transitioning to competitive science activities. Whether starting with block-based coding or progressing to Python, students explore how drones are used in real-world missions—from search-and-rescue to high-tech delivery. We use CoDrone EDU, a classroom-ready programmable drone equipped with a front range sensor, bottom range sensor, color sensors, and more. Each session challenges students to code flight paths, solve real-world problems, and complete drone missions in —building logic, creativity, and teamwork skills in the classroom and for competitions.
