About this event

Sensory Café (Ages 2–5) Step into our Sensory Café, a welcoming space designed for children ages 2–5 and their caregivers to explore, play, and connect. There is no formal instruction—just open-ended, child-led play in a peaceful setting where families can spend quality time together. Children are invited to move at their own pace as they visit a variety of sensory play stations featuring hands-on materials that encourage curiosity, creativity, and fine motor development The program room will be used as a calm and cozy environment with soft lighting, gentle background music, and comfortable atmosphere for both children and caregivers. Whether your child enjoys scooping, pouring, sorting, squishing, or simply exploring, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Join Miss Chris in the lab as she leads our Little Scientists through fun and informational experiments. This hands on class for caregivers and their children will answer age old questions like... how does one make slime? Is Cloud dough sticky? We will read books, discover and learn through experience. This program is designed for children ages 2-5 years. This program runs for 4 consecutive weeks. Dress for Mess, Excess and Success! Priority Registration is given to Kent Residents. Please have a valid library card and/or number to register. All registrants will be placed on a Wait List and will be admitted as space allows and at the discretion of library staff. Please wait for email notification of your acceptance into the class before attending.
