Tiny Hands will encourage your child to learn new ways to create while developing a range of new skills. Tiny Hands students will learn many techniques while working with clay. Students will have the opportunity to learn how to draw and paint at the easel. Many of the projects in the Tiny Hands curriculum focus on building dexterity and control, such as building a paper sculpture, which will teach students how to tear and cut. Your child will grow as an artist through a carefully guided program that is age appropriate.

Art 3 is the third year class level of a four-year curriculum, where your Art 3 student's critical thinking skills will be put to the test! Projects are designed to challenge and inspire your child, and include five color block printing with registration, gouache, sketch and wash, 12 box color design, and cast paper. The skills your child had developed thus far will be taken to a new level! The projects your child will complete in Art 3 will add depth to their portfolio and art projects most young people will never get to experience before college.

Art 1 and Art 2
Children's Art Classes- New York · Upper West Side
Art 1 is the foundation class of a four-year curriculum, where your Art 1 student will embark on an exciting journey through monochromatic work that deepens their understanding of line, value, and texture. Projects will include ebony pencil portraits, charcoal still life, India in design, and scratchboard art. Several weeks into the session, students will study color theory in-depth. They will utilize this knowledge to succeed in color design projects that will ensue. Class Requirements No prior experience is required, only a love to draw! Art 2 is the second class level of a four-year curriculum, where your Art 2 student will embark on a robust journey that will build upon skills taught to your student in the past class level of Art 1, adn students will be learning new techniques while using new mediums. Projects will include figure drawing, watercolor landscape, stippling, architectural design, India ink wash, clay coil poits, and a pastel self portrait. Students will continue to improve their drawing techniques, their understanding of color theory, and use of value. Class Requirements Student must complete the Art 1 level before enrolling into Art 2.
