Ever wonder what it’d be like to try out the pottery wheel and throw your very own pieces? This is your chance to give it a shot! $79/person includes an hour & 1/2 lesson, instruction, 1st firing, glazing of your piece, and 2nd firing! Registration required. Space limited, only 10 spots! Disclaimer: We aim to create pottery that you may bring home and use. Despite our best efforts sometimes not all the pottery pieces make it through both kiln firings. This is rare but in the case a piece does not come out in tact please remember this is part of the pottery process and this does not mean guests are entitled to a makeup class or to a refund. This class is all about the experience. ** Classes are non-refundable. Our creative community is a wonderful way to hone your craft and sharpen your skills. We offer white stoneware and brown speckled clay – the possibilities are endless! Beginner classes are open to anyone! No experience necessary! Beginner 2 requires students to be able to center a pound of clay and make a 4” cylinder independently Intermediate requires students to be able to center 3 pounds of clay and cylinders independently. In this class, you will be challenged to make more advanced projects that may require finishing on your own time *** We reserve the right to move students based on skill level *** Please note: students are expected to clean up after themselves during classes and open studio. We’ll gather to read a story, then little artists (with help from their grown-ups) will paint their own pottery piece inspired by the book. Adults are not required to purchase a ticket.
