An education and role-play gaming afterschool program for kids ages 5 and up. Classes teach creative writing, math, public speaking and cooperative problem solving. An eccentric king has disappeared, leaving his castle and the treasures inside defenseless. It’s up to the kids to reach those treasures before they fall into the wrong hands. It won’t be easy, though. The king loved puzzles, riddles and logic problems. Each room in the castle holds a different challenge.

Here, kids will have the opportunity to shape the entire experience—from designing the show's look and feel to getting crafty in the kitchen. Participants will form cooking teams and step into the test kitchen, where they'll dive into exciting recipe experiments featured in each episode. From delightful vegetarian sushi and dumplings to creating homemade pastas, exploring molecular gastronomy, and crafting edible art, there's something for every little chef! The Anselmo Academy of Music and The Arts is a non-profit organization with over 20 years of experience partnering with after-school programs across Brooklyn and NYC. We offer private and group instruction on all instruments, welcoming students of all ages and experience levels. We're thrilled to partner with Stay and Play at PS372 for the Fall 2025 school year. Our Group Piano class is designed especially for beginners. Students will explore the fundamentals of music through listening, singing, clapping, note reading and writing, basic music theory, and improvisation. Keyboards are provided for all lessons, and a recommended method book will be shared after the first class. Group piano classes will be offered in age appropriate sections: Pre-K-K, 1-2, and 3-5. For our Pre-k - K students, we'll focus on a general music curriculum centered around singalongs, clapping/rhythm exercises, and an intro to the piano. At the end of the year, all students are invited to perform in our in-person Spring Recital! A fun way to celebrate where friends and family can see the progress and musical creativity their children have developed throughout the year.

This enrichment is only available to 2nd-5th graders due to the size of the bikes being used. During this class, students will learn to ride bicycles through a series of lessons that lead them from safety basics such as helmet fitting and Air-Brake-Chain (ABC) checks into bike skills of balancing, pedaling, and stopping. By the end of the class, students will be able to confidently ride a two-wheeler for longer stretches and navigate a series of obstacles simulating street designs set up to test their skills. Note: This class is for students who are not yet riding a bike or just learning to ride. $20/class

During this class, students will learn more complex smart cycling skills to safely navigate a variety of terrains and obstacles. They will learn stopping and starting techniques, gear shifting, scanning and signaling, and build stamina. By the end of the class, students will be able to ride for 2+ miles and navigate Brooklyn streets on 1-2 bicycle field trips to local destinations. Past trips included Prospect Park and the ice cream shop for a tasty treat. Note: Students in this class MUST HAVE previously taken Biking 101 in order to participate in Biking 201.

Robot Builders is our signature robot-building class for 1st & 2nd graders. Each week features a new, hands-on, robot project that children get to build and take home afterward for more fun. As with all of our programs, we’ve built these classes to travel! Classes feature a short lesson, introducing circuitry, components, or other fundamentals of engineering. Then comes the hands-on fun, as each child builds that day’s robot project. The final design is always up to each builder, as they customize and decorate their creations. Robot Inventors is our signature class series for 3rd – 5th graders. As patience and fine motor skills continue to grow, we’re able to introduce a more challenging version of our signature robot-building classes for older students. The robots get more complicated and the opportunity for creativity becomes even greater. Experienced Inventors are encouraged to experiment and create their own projects with the materials. This is considered an inquiry-based class, with ample space for experimentation. A new project will be introduced each week, as part of the overall theme. Students may choose to stick with the week’s scripted project, or they can take their own path, taking a hand at turning their ideas into a reality. Either way, students always get to take their robots home after each class to continue to play and experiment. These classes are great for new builders, as well as those seeking a more open-ended robot-building experience. $30/class
