Ridgefield's storytime calendar currently carries 25 upcoming sessions split between two venues: Ridgefield Library and The Great Story Kids Cafe. The library dominates the schedule with free offerings segmented by age, from Mother Goose for 12-24 months through Big Picture for 36-84 months, while The Great Story Kids Cafe lists open play sessions without a published price. Most library sessions run on weekday schedules with separate baby, toddler, and preschool tracks, so filter by age band to find the right fit.
First experiences at the doctor, dentist, or hairdresser can be overwhelming for young children. This storytime series for children ages 0-5 years is designed to celebrate these "firsts" through stories and play! Our special guest in October is Dr. Meredith Renda from Ridgefield's Doctors' Pediatric. Dr. Renda will join us to read some books about visiting the doctor, give the Children's Library mascot Koala a well check, and answer questions about what to expect at the doctor's office. We'll end with a special craft to bring home and help children prepare for their first experiences. Registration is required and opens on September 16, 2026.
