About this event
Kids dive into a themed art project with plenty of time to create and experiment. They can also browse picture books that build on a seasonal theme or illustrator. Perfect for young makers and book lovers. Drop-ins always welcome.
Through songs, simple stories, lap bounces, and rhymes, we support early language development and bonding in a lively and welcoming environment. This program lays the foundation for a lifelong love of books and connection. Rachel Izes is our Early Literacy Coordinator.

Music and Mindfulness
Bedford Hills Free Library · Bedford Hills
Come sing, move, and find your calm! Children will explore their emotions through lively songs, fun movement, and storytelling activities designed to help them connect with their feelings. They'll also discover soothing, age-appropriate mindfulness practices like gentle breathing and imaginative visualizations to help them feel peaceful and present. Sarah Packard is a classically trained singer and actor with a rich background in musical and theatrical performance. She has a strong passion for education, having taught opera to youth in Detroit and children's music and storytelling in NYC. After transitioning from the corporate world, she is now returning to music education, incorporating movement and mindfulness as a certified yoga and meditation teacher.
