In this 4-week, hands-on skills series, young chefs will explore everything a stand mixer can do while building techniques they'll use for years to come. Each 75 minute class focuses on a different attachment: the whisk for whipping cream & light and airy mixtures, the paddle for creaming butter & sugar and mixing cookie dough, the dough hook for kneading bread-style doughs, and the pasta attachment ! Students will learn how to choose the right attachment, control mixer speeds, recognize when ingredients are properly mixed and use a stand mixer safely with confidence. We'll make something delicious every week - but in the Kitchen Skills Lab, mastering the technique is the main ingredient! PLEASE NOTE THIS SERIES IS 4 WEEKS LONG. Single classes will open based on availability. Class meets Tuesdays: 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27 from 4:15-5:30
