Kids' Events in Norwood

About kids' events in Norwood

A quiet, residential corner of the northern Bronx, Norwood sits between Mosholu Parkway and Woodlawn Cemetery, with low- and mid-rise apartment buildings lining mostly calm side streets. The neighborhood's anchor for families is Williamsbridge Oval, a nearly 20-acre park that has a playground with a spray shower, a running track, wading pools, and open fields. It's the kind of place where you can kill a whole Saturday morning without leaving the block. The Mosholu branch of the New York Public Library is right in the neighborhood and runs programs for kids from birth through the toddler years, making it a reliable weekday stop whatever the weather. Getting around is straightforward: the D train terminates at 205th Street, putting you on the subway in seconds, and the 4 train serves the southern edge of the neighborhood too. There are no dedicated kids' studios based locally, but groups like Cucala Dance Company and Dance Dynamics bring classes here regularly, so the programming calendar stays active. With 49 upcoming events on our calendar, there's a solid mix to work with through the next few weeks.
