About kids' events in Freeport
On the South Shore of Nassau, Freeport is a waterfront village where the canal and the bay set the pace. For a parent with a toddler, that means sidewalks along the water, a few playgrounds within a short walk, and the local library branch running story times and drop-in play sessions. Town recreation departments and the library network handle most free programming for little kids here, so a quick check of their schedules is usually worth it. Getting out of the house is a mix of driving and walking. You will drive to most destinations, parking is rarely a problem at off-peak hours, but the village core is compact enough for a stroller on foot. The Long Island Rail Road runs through Freeport, which helps if you are heading into the city for the day or meeting a friend at a farther playground. Our calendar for Freeport is empty right now, and no studios are listed here yet. That changes as parents post events, so what you see below reflects real submissions only. For now, treat Freeport as its own starting point: grab a coffee, follow the water, and let the library or a nearby playground be the destination.
