In Pelham, getting out with a toddler usually means a short walk to one of the local playgrounds, then a stop at the Town of Pelham Public Library. The library is the hub for early childhood stuff here, and it’s where nearly all of the 15 events on our calendar happen. You’ll find storytimes, with one called “PJ Storytime” that’s good for winding down, plus a few art classes and a science session. Right now there are three active studios in town, but the library runs the bulk of what’s listed. For outdoor time, you’re relying on the village’s parks, which are small but fine for a quick swing or a picnic blanket. Driving is the main way to get around, and parking near the library and playgrounds is usually easy on weekdays. Metro-North’s New Haven Line stops in Pelham if you want to head into Manhattan, but for a morning class, you’ll likely just drive a few minutes from home. It’s a low-key place where one good library and a couple of green spaces cover most of the week.
