Kids' Events in Port Chester

About kids' events in Port Chester

Getting out of the house in Port Chester with a toddler is doable without a lot of planning. There are a couple of playgrounds within a short walk of the main shopping streets, and the local library branch runs story times and open play spaces during the week. Most families drive here; parking is generally easy in the lots behind the restaurants and shops, though the main avenue can get tight on weekend afternoons. The Bee-Line bus runs through town, and Metro-North’s New Haven Line stops nearby if you want to head into the city, but for a quick morning out, you’ll probably just load the stroller in the trunk. Right now we have one class listed in Port Chester, run by Kids U. It’s a drop-in style session with open play, sensory bins, and simple art projects, posted under their “PLEASANTVILLE HOURS” title, so you can pop in for an hour without committing to a full semester. That’s sparse, but it means the few options that exist are low-pressure. Keep an eye on the calendar if you’re local; the county’s park and library systems run outdoor events seasonally, though nothing is scheduled here this month.
