About kids' events in East Northport
On the North Shore of Suffolk County, East Northport sits in that comfortable middle ground of Long Island where houses have driveways and sidewalks appear in patches. Getting out with a small kid here usually means a short car ride to one of the town’s parks, each with a playground or two and enough open grass for a running toddler. The local library branch runs story times and craft sessions on weekday mornings. Our calendar here is empty right now. We have no active studios or events listed in East Northport, so you won’t find a drop-in music class or indoor play space on this page yet. That doesn’t reflect what’s happening around you. Town recreation departments across western Suffolk run most of the free programming for young children, with seasonal sign-ups for parent-child gym and nature walks. Driving is the default. Parking is free at parks and shopping centers, and the Long Island Rail Road stops nearby if you want to head west to Penn Station or Grand Central without fighting traffic. For a morning out, your best bet is the town website or library flyers.
