About kids' events in Huntington Station
On Long Island, Huntington Station is a car-first hamlet where the name on the mailbox is not the same as the town. For a parent with a small kid, getting out means loading up the stroller and driving to a nearby park or the local library branch. Most mornings, town recreation departments and independent public libraries run free toddler programming, so a quick call to either will fill your week with story times and open play. You will find a couple of playgrounds within a short drive, and sidewalks are hit or miss, so hold a hand near the main roads. Right now, our calendar for Huntington Station is empty. We have no active studios filed here and no events listed in the last six months. That is the honest state of things. Getting around is straightforward: the Long Island Rail Road runs through, but daily errands happen by car. Parking at strip malls and rec centers is easy, and a short drive gets you to neighboring hamlets for more options. Treat Huntington Station as a base, and check with the local library for what is happening this week. That is where the real action is for your toddler.
