About kids' events in Weston
Getting out with a small kid in Weston means leaning on the town’s public spaces. A few playgrounds sit within a short drive of most homes, and the Weston Public Library is the anchor for early childhood programming. Most mornings, you can find parents parking at the library for a storytime or an art class, then heading to a nearby park for a picnic or a run around the grass. The town’s calendar skews heavily toward library-led activities: six art sessions, four movement classes, three storytimes, and one language group over the next stretch. Titles like “Melty Mondays” hint at the hands-on, sensory style of play, the kind that leaves a toddler happily covered in paint or goo. What is not here: a dedicated kids’ studio or gym. If you need more structured classes, you drive to neighboring towns, which is the norm across Coastal Fairfield County. Driving is the practical way around Weston; parking is easy at the library and most parks, but buses are rare and walking between destinations is not realistic. Plan your morning as a single out-and-back trip, and you are set.
