Driving into Katonah feels like leaving the rush behind. The main roads are easy to navigate, and parking near the library or Lasdon Public Gardens is rarely a hassle. If you live in the area, you already know the rhythm: car for most errands, Metro-North for trips into Manhattan. The Bee-Line bus covers local routes, but with a toddler, the car seat is usually the quicker call. Getting out of the house with a small kid here usually means one of two places. The local library branch, Katonah Village Library, runs storytimes and drop-in sessions like Lego Drop-In, which are a reliable weekday anchor.
