Kids' Events in Maspeth

About kids' events in Maspeth

A quiet, low-key Queens neighborhood of brick rowhouses and tree-lined blocks, Maspeth has a settled, multi-generational feel that makes it easy to slow down with a small kid. The residential streets are wide enough to push a stroller without much stress, and the area is compact enough that a lot of errands happen on foot. That said, Maspeth has no subway stop of its own, so most people getting around with a stroller rely on the bus network, the Q39 being the main local line, or they drive. For outdoor time, Frank Principe Park is a real local fixture with a playground right in the neighborhood. The Queens Public Library branch on Grand Avenue runs free programs for young kids throughout the year. If you need more space to run around, Juniper Valley Park in neighboring Middle Village is a short ride away and has sprinklers and a big playground. On this calendar, you will find 11 upcoming events in Maspeth, including programs through Queens Public Library and NYC Parks, two institutions that together cover a lot of the free, drop-in activity that families here count on week to week.
