About kids' events in White Plains
Getting out with a small kid in White Plains usually starts at a local park or the library. The library branch runs storytime and a LEGO club for all ages, and Saxon Woods Park has outdoor space and a garage sale on the calendar. There are also playgrounds and green areas scattered through the neighborhoods, so a short walk can turn into a solid hour of running around. Our calendar has 78 upcoming events. Storytime shows up most often, followed by movement and art classes. Cooking, swim, and theater pop up too, plus a few outdoor options. The public library, Westchester County Parks, and Gillie Park are active hosts. Bowlero works for rainy days, and 5th Dimension VR suits older toddlers who like screens and motion. Getting around is car-first. You drive to most spots, park in lots or on the street, then walk short distances with the stroller. Metro-North runs south to Manhattan, and Bee-Line buses cover local routes if you want to skip the car. Weekday parking downtown costs money, but the parks and library lots are free. Keep the diaper bag light, because you will carry it from the car more than you might expect.
