About toddler events in Glen Oaks

Tucked into the far northeastern corner of Queens, right on the Nassau County line, Glen Oaks has the feel of a low-key residential neighborhood where kids actually have room to breathe. The area is built around Glen Oaks Village, a sprawling garden-apartment co-op with tree-lined courtyards and playgrounds woven into its layout. Glen Oaks Oval, at 260th Street and 74th Avenue, has a playground plus open green space. Queens County Farm Museum sits just down Little Neck Parkway, a real working farm where toddlers can see goats, pigs, and chickens up close. Admission is free most days. The Queens Public Library branch on Union Turnpike runs programs for infants and toddlers, including music and movement sessions, and it's a genuinely useful stop on a weekday morning. This is not subway territory. Most people get around by car or bus, and the Q46 along Union Turnpike connects to the E and F trains further into Queens. On weekends, the pace slows down considerably, with a low-traffic feel that makes pushing a stroller around the block easier than much of the borough. Events here draw on NYC Parks and the Hance Family Foundation, among others.
