About kids' events in Bayonne
The peninsula runs narrow and flat, so nearly everything is a short walk from somewhere else. You can hit a couple of playgrounds, grab coffee, and cross back home before lunch. The local library branch runs free story times and toddler hangouts, and the recreation department schedules seasonal outdoor stuff when the weather cooperates. On our calendar right now, Bayonne is mostly about movement. The Bayonne Blades Skate School has rolling sessions where little ones can wobble on training skates, and Senshi Tori Mixed Martial Arts runs kickboxing-style classes that toddlers do mostly as jumping and punching games. Between those two, you can get a solid burn in without leaving town. There are also five active studios filed here, so the class scene is real but not overwhelming. Getting around is practical: PATH and NJ Transit rail connect the waterfront to Manhattan in minutes, but once you are off the train, you will need your own wheels or patience for the bus. Driving and parking are manageable for a Jersey town, but walking between playgrounds and sessions is often the simplest move. Keep a full stroller snack kit handy, because the days fill fast.
